Colin Kaepernick Jersey says he’d go anywhere for NFL workout

Colin Kaepernick said in an off-camera interview with CBS Sports that he would go anywhere for an NFL workout, as long as it is private.

Kaepernick said he hasn’t been broadcasting his desire to work out with any of the league’s 32 teams because he doesn’t want to be a distraction and that he wants to be judged only as a football player.

According to CBS Sports, the Titans knew that Kaepernick was open to a workout with them after quarterback Marcus Mariota went down with an injury, but he was not invited for a meeting. The team signed Brandon Weeden, instead.

CBS Sports initially reported Kaepernick said that if he were to join an NFL team this season, he would stand for the national anthem. However, his girlfriend, Nessa Diab, denies he made such a claim. And Sunday afternoon reporter Jason La Canfora issued a series of tweets saying he and Kaepernick had not discussed the subject of his standing for the anthem.

Jones was the clear fill-in for the injured Ty Montgomery (ribs) on Sunday, managing 19 of the team’s 25 rushing attempts and 20 total touches, resulting in 20.4 PPR fantasy points. The rookie was a popular addition during the past week, going from 0.42 percent ownership in ESPN leagues at the time of the Week 4 kickoff to 65.7 percent on Sunday, with 36.6 percent of owners starting him. While it’s unclear whether Montgomery will be ready to play by Week 6, chances are that he’ll be limited in some regard during the practice, making Jones a handy insurance policy to keep around.
